  1. Close all window tabs in your browser.
  2. Check to make sure your card reader is properly connected.
  3. First insert your eID into the card reader.
  4. Then launch your browser and try to log in again.
Does the problem persist?
  1. Go to eID Authentication Test to check if your eID and card reader are working properly. For further assistance, please consult the eID FAQ (available in Dutch and French).
  2. Check whether you are running at least version 4.4.4.
    Please note that there are different versions for IDs valid for 5 and 10 years.
